Project description

What ELASTIC sets out to do.

ELASTIC redefines service orchestration within 6G networks, integrating cutting-edge technologies like WebAssembly and confidential computing to optimize network functionality and security across diverse infrastructures.

By combining emerging technologies such as WebAssembly, eBPF, Trusted Execution Environments, and Federated Learning, ELASTIC optimizes latency, throughput, and cybersecurity resilience — creating a more secure, efficient, and flexible networking environment.

Key objectives

  • Executable isolation: Improve efficiency, portability, and security of executable isolation across the lifecycle in in-network cloud and edge computing.
  • 6G edge orchestration: Secure, efficient orchestration for edge and far-edge IoT workloads in critical 6G infrastructure.
  • Secure serverless FaaS: Architecture-agnostic, secure serverless FaaS orchestration ensuring data authenticity and trusted interactions.
  • Confidential execution: Secure, architecture-agnostic execution environments using confidential computing and privacy-enhancing technologies.
  • Standardization: Support the standardization and dissemination of 6G technologies aligned with EU supply capabilities.

Expected outcomes

  • Isolation runtimes: WebAssembly- and eBPF-based runtimes for portable, secure execution.
  • Orchestration framework: Secure orchestration across cloud, fog, and edge infrastructures.
  • Confidential execution: TEE-backed confidential and privacy-preserving execution environments.
  • Federated learning: Federated AI/ML orchestration across distributed 6G nodes.
Our involvement

Ultraviolet's role.

Ultraviolet is an SME from Belgrade, Serbia, specializing in cloud computing, AI/ML, multi-party computation, secure data sharing, and Trusted Execution Environments. In ELASTIC, we focus on confidential computing and secure multi-party computation — enhancing our Cocos AI platform through improvements in remote attestation and lightweight in-enclave runtimes, and developing a secure Software Management Agent (SMA) that manages AI/ML workloads within secure enclaves using TEE technologies.
